The Lantern Flush to Wall Sconce 1900/3 is part of the Mica Lamp Companies Lantern 1900 Collection. The Lantern 1900 pattern was discovered during a recent renovation of a parochial school in upstate New York. Attached to buildings dating from 1880 - 1890's, these lantern designs appear in numerous sizes and chandelier configurations. All of the Lantern 1900 Lights are authentically detailed in forged iron, and fire burned to an authentic black Gun finish. This "burned" or "fire finish" is naturally uneven; colors range from gray to black to blue and red. The Vintage Black "Fire Finish" and mica mineral lenses are period authentic.

The 1900/3 Flush to Wall Sconce and all the Vintage Iron Lights are authentically detailed in forged iron, and fire burned to an authentic black finish in the Mica Lamps California shop. Construction is heavy in weight, with abundant hammer marks and rivet fasteners

**Please note: Vintage Iron Finish Can Rust ~ this is Mica Lamps Standard Fire Finish. Applying a high heat torch flame to the metal surface that results in that old world appearance (black,grey,blues,reddish shading). Unique, Beautiful, Authentic and Prone to Rust.
